Nolan clawing back respect?
Good to see him go off to applause, alway disappointed to see a player singled out vocally, even when deserved.

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
The applause was because the game was over and nobody had to endure any more of the tedious shit being served up!

Ignore me, there was still ten minutes left. Still, the end was in sight!

either those applause were for Nene or they were ironic

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
Looks like he's fitter...less weight...and he gets around more...but still too slow for his role...

Couple of good accurate long ball passes ...very unlucky not to get the penalty due to wrong offside call...

Overall a good signing...Keep up the improved performances...

His last season I M O ...

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
He played quite well yesterday. Nothing special, but then didn't do much wrong. As said, he could have won at least one penalty yesterday were it not for the referee and linesmen calling it wrong. Seems to be useful sitting further back now, doesn't really have the legs for the attacking role nowadays, but still can do a job as a squad player.

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?

So time to get it right KN?

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
Very much like Lampard for England, it was ages til I realised he was on the park, after that I kept forgetting. I clapped the substitution, not his performance.

That said, he shouldn't be given stick, we did well out of him and he has done very well out of us, there should t be a messy divorce but rather a shake of hands and a wish of all the best in the future.

Don't think he should be anywhere near the side, but I don't boo our own players.

Maybe people wanted to drown out the inevitable few boos by clapping him?

I am definitely not a Fan of his but I am much much less a fan of those who boo players or single them out though It Is difficult I know Fans should never boo players as it kills confidence.
Like many I think Nolan is well past his sell by date.

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
Sorry but no, he was fucking terrible Saturday

Anyone forget the corner he gave away for no good reason ?, the under hit passes ?, the tedious pointing ?., the jogging back when they were on the breakaway ?

Our midfield needs a massive overhaul

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
On Saturday our best midfielder was playing at centre back.

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
Amazing to think that Gerrard had more touches and tackles in 47 seconds than Nolan did in 90 mins.....

TOO SOON?? TOO SOON??

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
TWITTER made me chuckle for the first time, with Steven GERRARD's HEAT MAP from yesterday.
Mildly amusing.

Yeah saw that Stew0 and sent that to three Scouse Mates....

TOO SOON?? TOO SOON??

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
There is no dynamic play from us, it's a slow and mind numbing approach which is totally encapsulated by those fucking awful Noble corners

Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
How many corners did he take Saturday, Boots?

i-Ron 10:27 Mon Mar 23
Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
Id say there was a fair few boos and ironic cheers when he went off

Westham67 10:30 Mon Mar 23
Re: Nolan clawing back respect?
I don't like to see our players booed I'm sure they are mainly thick skinned enough to ignore it . I think its counter productive also
